How to Test Your Home for Radon.


Testing for radon is actually quite simple and can easily be performed by the homeowner or a home's occupants.

The process consists of placing the testing device, collecting that same device, sealing it, and sending it by mail to a lab.

There are 2 types of kits used when testing for radon.

Test kits are sold online and locally in most hardware stores. 

Short-Term Test Kit
  • Measures Radon Levels for a Period of 3-7 days.
  • Provides a quicker result.
Long-Term Test Kit
  • Measures Radon Levels for a Period of 3 months up to 1 year.
  • Provides a more accurate reliable test.
